A GoHighLevel Carrd integration is how you stop copying leads out of your inbox and start answering them in seconds. Carrd is brilliant for fast, cheap one-page sites, but on its own it has no CRM, no pipeline and no automated follow-up.

This guide is part of our website-builder integration series. It walks through the three ways to connect Carrd to HighLevel, which Carrd plan each one needs, what the stack really costs per year, and the Workflow you should build the moment a lead lands.

Why connect Carrd to HighLevel at all?

Carrd's built-in contact form emails you the submission. That's fine for a hobby page, but it means every lead waits until someone checks the inbox.

Once Carrd leads flow into GoHighLevel, each one becomes a contact with tags, a pipeline opportunity and an automated reply. Speed-to-lead is the whole point — a text back within a minute converts far better than an email reply the next morning.

Which Carrd plan unlocks forms, embeds and webhooks?

Per Carrd's Pro plans documentation and pricing roundups checked in October 2026, there are three Pro tiers, all billed annually. The free plan stays on a carrd.co subdomain with no forms worth integrating.

Carrd planPriceSitesFormsEmbed elementCustom domainSend to URL / Zapier form
FreeUS$0LimitedNoNoNoNo
Pro LiteUS$9/yr3NoNoNoNo
Pro StandardUS$19/yr10YesYesYesNo
Pro PlusUS$49/yr25Yes, plus custom formsYesYesYes

The line that matters most: Carrd's own setup guide for a Custom URL form is marked "Requires Pro Plus or higher". So does its custom Zapier form guide.

In plain terms, Pro Standard gets you the Embed element; Pro Plus gets you webhooks. Pro Lite cannot carry a lead-capture integration at all.

Method A: Carrd "Send to URL" straight into a GHL inbound webhook

This is the cleanest option if you're on Pro Plus. Carrd posts the form data directly to a URL that HighLevel generates, with no middleware and no extra subscription.

Step 1: Create the inbound webhook in GoHighLevel

  • In your sub-account, open Automation and create a new Workflow from scratch.
  • Add the Inbound Webhook trigger and copy the unique URL it generates.
  • Leave the Workflow in draft until you have captured a sample request.

If you've never used this trigger, our walkthrough of GoHighLevel inbound and outbound webhooks covers the mapping screen in detail.

Step 2: Configure the Carrd form

  • Add a Form element and set the type to Custom, then choose Send to URL.
  • Paste the GHL webhook URL as the destination.
  • Choose the AJAX method and JSON format so the payload arrives as clean key-value pairs.
  • Give every field a sensible ID, such as first_name, email and phone.

Step 3: Map the payload to a contact

Submit a test entry from the live Carrd site, then fetch the sample request inside the trigger. Add a Create or Update Contact action and map each incoming field to the matching standard or custom field.

Inbound webhooks don't create contacts on their own — the mapping action is what turns a payload into a person. Skip it and you'll have Workflow executions with no contacts behind them.

Carrd is the shop window. GoHighLevel is the shop. The integration's only job is to get the visitor through the door before they wander off.

Method B: Embed a native GHL form with Carrd's Embed element

If you're on Pro Standard, this is usually the best choice. You build the form in HighLevel's form builder and drop its embed code into Carrd.

  • In Sites, open Forms, build your form and grab the iframe embed code from the share or integrate option.
  • In Carrd, add an Embed element, set the type to Code, and paste the snippet.
  • Set a sensible height, then publish and test on mobile, where iframes most often clip.

The big advantage is that submissions are native GHL form entries. Contacts are created automatically, consent checkboxes work, and you can fire the Form Submitted trigger in GoHighLevel without any field mapping.

The trade-off is styling. The embedded form looks like GHL, not Carrd, so match fonts, colours and button radius in the form builder or it will look bolted on.

Method C: Zapier or Make as the fallback bridge

Middleware makes sense when you need to send the same lead to several tools, or when you want to transform data before it reaches GHL. It's rarely the cheapest path for a single Carrd form.

Carrd's native Send to Zapier custom form also requires Pro Plus, per its documentation. Carrd offers a similar Send to Make option that posts to a Make custom webhook.

Once the Zap catches the submission, use the LeadConnector app to create or update the contact. Our GoHighLevel Zapier integration guide covers the authentication steps and task costs.

If you're already on Pro Plus, Method A does the same job without a monthly Zapier bill. Use Zapier only when the multi-app routing earns its keep.

What does the Carrd plus HighLevel stack cost per year?

Pricing below uses Carrd's published plan prices and GoHighLevel's US$97, US$297 and US$497 monthly plans, both checked in October 2026. Zapier's Professional plan starts at about US$19.99 a month billed annually, according to October 2026 pricing roundups of Zapier's plans, and its free tier excludes webhooks.

The Carrd line is almost a rounding error. Your real costs are the GHL plan plus usage — SMS, email and any premium workflow actions billed to the sub-account.

The Workflow that should fire after every Carrd lead

Pick the right trigger

  • Method A: the Inbound Webhook trigger, followed by the Create or Update Contact action.
  • Method B: Form Submitted, filtered to your Carrd form so other forms don't fire it.
  • Method C: Contact Created or a tag added by the Zap, filtered by source.

Tag, route and respond

  • Add a source tag such as src-carrd-homepage so reporting stays honest.
  • Create an opportunity in your sales pipeline at the New Lead stage.
  • Send a speed-to-lead SMS within a minute, written in a human voice with the business name.
  • Send an internal notification to the owner or assigned user with the lead's details.

Remember Australian and US texting rules. Collect SMS consent on the form, and make sure your number is registered where required before you switch the Workflow on.

Spam protection

Webhook URLs and public forms both attract bots. With Method B, you get HighLevel's form-level protections; with Method A, add a filter that stops the Workflow when the email or phone field is empty or malformed.

Our guide to GoHighLevel form spam and bot protection covers captcha, honeypot fields and Workflow filters that keep junk contacts out of your pipeline.

When to stop integrating and rebuild the page in GHL

Sometimes the smartest Carrd integration is no integration. If you're already paying for GoHighLevel, its funnel and website builder can host the same one-pager on your own domain.

  • You're running paid ads and need clean attribution from click to booked call.
  • You want A/B split tests on headlines or offers.
  • You're on Carrd Free or Pro Lite and would have to upgrade just to collect a form.
  • You manage the site for a client and want everything inside one snapshot.

Our comparison of the GoHighLevel website builder vs funnels helps you choose which builder suits the rebuild. Keep Carrd when design speed and a tiny bill matter most; move to GHL when the page is part of a revenue system.

For full plan details straight from the source, check Carrd's Pro plans documentation before you upgrade, as tiers and site counts do change.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Buying Pro Lite and discovering it has no forms, embeds or custom domain.
  • Building Method A on Pro Standard, then finding Send to URL needs Pro Plus.
  • Forgetting the Create or Update Contact action after an Inbound Webhook trigger.
  • Leaving the Form Submitted trigger unfiltered, so every form in the sub-account fires the Carrd Workflow.
  • Sending speed-to-lead SMS without consent or before number registration is complete.
  • Paying for Zapier to do a job a direct webhook or a native embed already handles.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect Carrd to HighLevel on the free Carrd plan?

Not in any practical way. Carrd's free plan and Pro Lite don't include forms or the Embed element. You need at least Pro Standard to embed a GHL form, or Pro Plus to send form data to a webhook.

Which Carrd plan supports Send to URL webhooks?

Carrd's documentation marks the Custom URL form as requiring Pro Plus or higher. Pro Plus was US$49 a year when checked in October 2026. Pro Standard does not include custom webhook forms.

Is embedding a GHL form better than using a Carrd form?

For most businesses, yes. An embedded GHL form creates contacts natively, handles consent and fires the Form Submitted trigger with no mapping. The trade-off is that you must style the form in GHL to match your Carrd design.

Do I need Zapier for a GoHighLevel Carrd integration?

No. A direct webhook or an embedded GHL form covers most use cases without middleware. Zapier or Make only earns its cost when the same lead must also go to other apps.

Why aren't contacts being created from my Carrd webhook?

The Inbound Webhook trigger only receives data; it doesn't create a contact by itself. Add a Create or Update Contact action and map the email, phone and name fields from the sample request. Then submit a fresh test from the live site.

Which GHL trigger should I use for Carrd leads?

Use the Inbound Webhook trigger for Send to URL forms and the Form Submitted trigger for embedded GHL forms. If leads arrive through Zapier, Contact Created or a tag-based trigger filtered by source works well.

Should I just rebuild my Carrd page in GoHighLevel?

If you already pay for GoHighLevel and run ads, split tests or client sites, rebuilding in GHL funnels usually makes sense. Keep Carrd if you value its fast design workflow and the integration is working cleanly.
