This is part 5 of 10 in my HighLevel LevelUp 2026 guide. HighLevel announced more than 300 features and updates at LevelUp 2026, on LevelUp Day (27 October 2026) in Dallas. This post covers two of the 20 biggest: Release 9, LC Payments, and Release 10, Australian data residency. Each one has a status label, what it is, why it matters, an example scenario, how to set it up and how an agency can sell it. The whole guide starts on the main LevelUp 2026 updates page.

Why listen to me? I was in the room at LevelUp Day. I run HL Growth Partner, a white-label HighLevel fulfilment partner in Brisbane. I'm a HighLevel Certified Admin and a Gold SaaSPRENEUR, and I build these features for agencies every week. Every launch here is checked against HighLevel's own LevelUp Day release blog, changelog and help centre. HighLevel's blog tells you what each feature does. This guide tells you what to do with it.

Release 9: LC Payments & payment commissions

Release 09 of 20: LC Payments & payment commissions. HighLevel LevelUp 2026 release card showing what it is, an example use case for a physio clinic, why it matters for agencies and how to sell it
Quick answer

LC Payments (LeadConnector Payments) is HighLevel's own payments offering. On stage, Varun Vairavan set a goal of sharing about 40% of HighLevel's payments profit with founders as a recurring monthly commission: "when we get paid, you get paid". The written terms are still to be confirmed. AI invoice layouts (Labs) design invoices from a prompt.

Status: The AI invoice layout builder is in Labs. The payments profit share was Announced on stage, and its terms are still to be confirmed.

What it is.

  • AI-powered invoice layouts: describe your invoice, or upload one you already use, and AI builds the layout, with version history.
  • LC Payments: HighLevel's own payments offering (LeadConnector Payments). On stage, Varun set out a goal of sharing payments profit with founders: "My goal is simple... I wanna pay like forty percent of recurring every month of... any of the profits we're making, we're gonna share it back with you... when we get paid, you get paid." He described it as recurring commissions "every single month, basically forever." That's a stated goal of sharing about 40% of HighLevel's payments profit. The written terms weren't published when I wrote this, so don't quote numbers to clients until they are.

Why it matters. If founders earn a share when their clients take payments through HighLevel, getting paid becomes part of the agency's revenue, not just a feature.

Example scenario: physio clinic (illustrative). Picture a clinic that moves from paper invoices to branded AI invoice layouts, and takes card payments through HighLevel at the appointment. The agency set it all up, and it earns whatever share of HighLevel's payments profit the final terms allow.

How to set it up. Settings > Labs > Sub-Account > AI-Powered Custom Invoice Layouts. For payments, read HighLevel's LC Payments terms for your country first, because availability and fees differ by region.

How an agency can sell this. Offer a "get paid faster" set-up: invoice templates, payment links, reminders and a text-to-pay workflow.

How do HighLevel payment commissions work for founders?

Quick answer

Two things changed. HighLevel's affiliate commission stays at 40% recurring. And Varun announced a goal of sharing about 40% of HighLevel's payments profit with founders as recurring monthly commissions, with the terms still to be confirmed. Affiliate Manager, for running your own affiliate program, gained unlimited tiers, an API, audit logs and PayPal retries.

Status: The 40% affiliate commission is unchanged (HighLevel's affiliate agreement). The payments profit share was Announced on stage, and its terms are still to be confirmed.

What it is. HighLevel's affiliate commission stays at 40% recurring. On stage, Varun also set a goal of sharing about 40% of HighLevel's payments profit with founders as recurring monthly commissions (see Run). The terms are still to be confirmed. On the software side, Affiliate Manager (the tool you use to run your affiliate program) now supports unlimited sub-affiliate depth, a 32-endpoint public API, audit logs, and retries for failed PayPal payouts.

Why it matters. More ways to earn from the same client relationship: software margin, AI rebilling, payments share and services.

Example scenario: course creator (illustrative). Picture a course creator who runs a three-tier affiliate program for their students in Affiliate Manager. Failed PayPal payouts show up in a Failed tab and can be retried there, without contacting support.

How an agency can sell this. Offer "launch your own affiliate program" set-ups for coaches and SaaS clients.

Release 10: Australian data residency

Release 10 of 20: Australian data residency. HighLevel LevelUp 2026 release card showing what it is, an example use case for a ndis provider, why it matters for agencies and how to sell it
Quick answer

HighLevel announced at LevelUp 2026 that "data residency in Australia is live", starting with Australia and coming to other countries that need it. You sign up through HighLevel. Its help centre hadn't been updated with the hosting region when I wrote this, so get written confirmation of the region and migration steps first.

Status: Announced as live on stage, with sign-up through HighLevel. Confirm the hosting region and migration steps with HighLevel in writing.

What it is. "Data residency in Australia is live," the founders announced, "kicking off with Australia, soon in every country that needs it." They told the room to copy the link and sign up. In practice, it means Australian customers' data can be hosted in Australia. Australian agencies have been asking for this on HighLevel's ideas board for months, especially for health, education and government-funded work.

What I could verify. HighLevel's Australian Data, Privacy & Compliance FAQ (modified 8 October 2026) says data is backed up daily "to the local region". It covers encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit) and a 72-hour breach notification window under the Data Processing Agreement. When I checked, the FAQ hadn't yet been updated to name an Australian hosting region for primary data, so ask for written confirmation when you sign up. HighLevel's security and compliance overview also still described core infrastructure as US-hosted when I checked. HighLevel's WordPress hosting already offers a Sydney server location.

Why it matters. For Australian clinics, schools, NDIS providers and anyone covered by the Privacy Act's cross-border rules (APP 8), "where is my data?" has been the question that loses HighLevel deals. Local hosting removes that objection. See the Australian section of the main guide.

Example scenario: NDIS provider (illustrative). Picture an Australian NDIS provider where "where is my data?" has stalled deals.

  • The agency signs up through HighLevel's data residency link.
  • It gets the hosting region confirmed in writing.
  • It goes back to the prospects who said no over data location.
  • Once the region is confirmed, the data-location question has a clear answer.

How to set it up

  1. Sign up through HighLevel's data residency link.
  2. Ask for written confirmation of the region and how existing accounts move.
  3. List every client and prospect that has said no over data location. They're your first calls.

How an agency can sell this. Offer compliance-ready set-ups for clinics, NDIS providers and education. Only promote Australian hosting once HighLevel has confirmed the hosting region in writing.
