A GoHighLevel Gravity Forms integration lets a WordPress site keep its existing forms while every submission lands in HighLevel as a contact, with tags, custom fields and a workflow ready to follow up. It is one of the most common requests we get from agencies inheriting a client's established WordPress build.
This guide covers when to keep Gravity Forms and when to rebuild in GHL forms, the three ways to connect Gravity Forms to HighLevel, a step-by-step webhook setup with field mapping, what it costs in 2026, and how to test it and keep spam out of your CRM.
Quick Facts
| Native connector? | No official HighLevel-built connector that we know of; most setups use a webhook or a middleware tool |
| Gravity Forms Webhooks Add-On | An Elite-licence add-on (gravityforms.com, October 2026) |
| Gravity Forms Elite licence | US$259 per year, unlimited sites (gravityforms.com, October 2026) |
| GHL trigger used | Inbound Webhook workflow trigger, which HighLevel classes as a premium trigger |
| Zapier Free plan | 100 tasks per month, two-step Zaps only (2026 pricing summaries) |
| Simplest alternative | Rebuild the form in GHL and embed it on WordPress |
Keep Gravity Forms or rebuild in GHL forms?
Before touching any settings, decide whether the integration should exist at all. Many WordPress sites run Gravity Forms because a developer installed it years ago, not because anyone needs its advanced features.
If the form is a simple name, email, phone and message, rebuilding it as a native GHL form is usually the cleaner answer. You get direct contact creation, built-in attribution and no extra licence to renew.
Keep Gravity Forms when
- The form uses calculations, product fields or payment add-ons tied to WooCommerce or another WordPress system.
- Other plugins (membership, LMS, user registration) depend on Gravity Forms entries.
- The client's team manages forms inside WordPress and won't be logging into HighLevel.
- Entries must also stay in the WordPress database for compliance or record-keeping.
Rebuild in GHL when
- The form exists only to capture leads for follow-up.
- You want submissions, source tracking and automations in one place.
- The client is on a Basic or Pro Gravity Forms licence and would need to upgrade just to get webhooks.
If you go the rebuild route, our GoHighLevel forms and surveys setup guide walks through the builder, and the GoHighLevel WordPress integration guide shows how to embed GHL forms on a WordPress page.
Ways to connect Gravity Forms to HighLevel
There are three realistic paths. Each trades cost against control.
| Option | How it works | Best for | Watch-outs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Webhooks Add-On → GHL Inbound Webhook | Gravity Forms posts each entry to a unique HighLevel workflow URL | Agencies already holding an Elite licence | Elite licence required; premium trigger usage in GHL |
| Zapier or Make | Middleware listens for new entries and creates or updates the GHL contact | Teams without Elite, or multi-app routing | Per-task cost; another account to maintain |
| Native GHL form embedded on WordPress | Replace the Gravity Form entirely | Simple lead-capture forms | Loses Gravity-specific logic and WordPress entry storage |
Option 1: Gravity Forms Webhooks Add-On
The Webhooks Add-On sends entry data to any URL when a form is submitted. Pointed at a HighLevel Inbound Webhook trigger, it gives you a direct, real-time connection with no middleware.
For the trigger side in more depth, see our guide to inbound and outbound webhooks in GoHighLevel.
Option 2: Zapier or Make
Both tools have a Gravity Forms trigger and a HighLevel (LeadConnector) action. This suits clients on cheaper Gravity Forms licences, or setups where one submission also needs to reach Google Sheets, Slack or an accounting tool.
Option 3: Embed a native GHL form
This removes the integration altogether. It is the lowest-maintenance option and the one we recommend for most lead-generation sites.
Step-by-step: GoHighLevel Gravity Forms integration via webhook
This is the setup we use for client builds. Do it in a test sub-account or on a staging form first.
Step 1: Create custom fields and tags in HighLevel
List every Gravity Forms field you want to keep. Create matching custom fields in the sub-account for anything beyond standard contact fields, such as "Service Interested In" or "Budget Range".
Create a tag naming the source, for example src-gravity-contact-form, so you can filter and report on these leads later.
Step 2: Build the workflow with an Inbound Webhook trigger
- Create a new workflow and add the Inbound Webhook trigger.
- Copy the unique webhook URL HighLevel generates.
- Leave the workflow in draft until a sample request has arrived.
Step 3: Configure the Gravity Forms webhook feed
In WordPress, open the form, go to Settings, then Webhooks, and add a new feed. Paste the HighLevel URL, set the method to POST and the format to JSON.
Choose to send selected fields rather than all fields, and give each one a clean key such as first_name, email, phone and service. Clean keys make mapping in GHL far easier.
Add hidden fields for UTM parameters and the page URL to the form itself, then include them in the feed. This is what makes source attribution possible later.
Step 4: Send a test submission and map the data
Submit the live form once. Back in the workflow, refresh the trigger's sample data and select the request you just sent so its keys become available for mapping.
Add a Create or Update Contact action and map each key to the matching standard or custom field. Then add your source tag and any pipeline opportunity you want created.
Step 5: Handle dedupe properly
Map both email and phone so HighLevel can match returning leads to existing contacts. Check the sub-account's duplicate-contact setting so a repeat enquiry updates the record rather than creating a second one.
Our article on preventing and merging duplicate contacts in GoHighLevel covers the settings and clean-up in detail.
Step 6: Add the follow-up
Once the contact exists, the rest of the workflow is standard GHL: an internal notification, an instant SMS or email reply, and an opportunity in the right pipeline stage.

What a Gravity Forms and HighLevel integration costs in 2026
The licence tier is the deciding factor. Gravity Forms' pricing page (October 2026) lists the Webhooks Add-On only with the Elite licence, so Basic and Pro customers need either an upgrade or a middleware tool.
| Item | Price (as verified October 2026) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gravity Forms Basic | US$59 per year, 1 site | No Webhooks Add-On |
| Gravity Forms Pro | US$159 per year, up to 3 sites | No Webhooks Add-On |
| Gravity Forms Elite | US$259 per year, unlimited sites | Includes Webhooks Add-On |
| Zapier Free | US$0, 100 tasks per month | Two-step Zaps only |
| Zapier Professional | From US$19.99 per month billed annually (US$29.99 monthly), 750 tasks | Price rises with task volume |
| GHL Inbound Webhook trigger | Premium trigger, usage-based | Check your agency billing settings for the current rate |
Gravity Forms prices come from the official Gravity Forms pricing page. Zapier figures are taken from 2026 Zapier pricing breakdowns (Jetadmin, September 2026), so confirm them on Zapier's pricing page before quoting a client.
HighLevel classes the Inbound Webhook as a premium workflow trigger, billed on usage beyond any included allowance. Low-volume contact forms rarely make this a material cost, but agencies should decide whether to rebill it to clients.
Which option is cheapest?
- Agency already on Elite: the webhook route adds little beyond GHL premium usage.
- Client on Basic or Pro with low volume: Zapier Free may work, provided a two-step Zap is enough.
- Anyone weighing a licence upgrade: rebuilding the form in GHL is usually cheaper.
Testing your Gravity Forms to HighLevel connection
Never publish the workflow on the strength of one test. Run through a short checklist instead.
- Submit with a brand-new email and confirm a new contact appears with every field populated.
- Submit again with the same email and a new phone number, and confirm the contact updates rather than duplicating.
- Submit from a URL carrying UTM parameters and confirm the hidden fields arrive.
- Leave optional fields blank and confirm the workflow doesn't fail.
- Check the workflow's execution history for errors on each run.
In WordPress, the entry's notes or the add-on's logging can show whether the webhook request was sent. If the entry exists in WordPress but not in GHL, the problem is the feed or the URL.
Keeping spam out of your HighLevel CRM
A webhook forwards whatever Gravity Forms accepts. If spam gets through the form, it lands in your CRM and can trigger SMS and email follow-up to fake contacts.
- Turn on Gravity Forms' anti-spam honeypot and add a CAPTCHA option such as reCAPTCHA or Cloudflare Turnstile via an add-on.
- Use the webhook feed's conditional logic to skip entries missing a valid email or phone.
- Add a workflow filter that stops contacts with obviously junk data before any messages go out.
For native GHL forms, our guide to GoHighLevel form spam and bot protection covers the equivalent settings.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Buying an Elite upgrade for a five-field contact form that would be simpler as a native GHL form.
- Sending all fields with Gravity Forms' default labels, then struggling to map them in HighLevel.
- Mapping only email, so phone-only repeat leads create duplicate contacts.
- Skipping a source tag and hidden UTM fields, leaving no way to report on where leads came from.
- Publishing the workflow before checking execution history for failed runs.
- Forgetting spam filtering, which lets bots trigger paid SMS sends.

Frequently asked questions
Does GoHighLevel have a native Gravity Forms integration?
At the time of writing we are not aware of an official HighLevel-built Gravity Forms connector. Most setups use the Gravity Forms Webhooks Add-On posting to a GHL Inbound Webhook workflow trigger, or a middleware tool such as Zapier or Make.
Which Gravity Forms licence includes the Webhooks Add-On?
Gravity Forms' pricing page (October 2026) lists the Webhooks Add-On with the Elite licence, priced at US$259 per year for unlimited sites. Basic and Pro licences do not include it.
Can I connect Gravity Forms to HighLevel without the Elite licence?
Yes. Zapier and Make both offer a Gravity Forms trigger and a HighLevel action, so you can send entries without the Webhooks Add-On. You pay for the middleware's tasks or operations instead.
Is the Inbound Webhook trigger free in GoHighLevel?
HighLevel classes the Inbound Webhook as a premium workflow trigger, which is billed on usage. Check your agency billing settings for the current rate and whether you rebill it to sub-accounts.
How do I stop duplicate contacts from Gravity Forms submissions?
Map both email and phone in the Create or Update Contact action, and review the sub-account's duplicate-contact setting. Test with a repeat submission before publishing the workflow.
How do I track lead source from Gravity Forms in HighLevel?
Add hidden fields for UTM parameters and the page URL to the Gravity Form, include them in the webhook feed, and map them to custom fields. Add a source tag in the workflow so the leads can be filtered and reported on.
Should I just rebuild my Gravity Forms in GHL instead?
For simple lead-capture forms, usually yes. Keep Gravity Forms only when it handles payments, calculations or other WordPress plugins that depend on its entries.
