A GoHighLevel Squarespace integration lets you keep the Squarespace site you paid a designer to build while every lead, booking and chat lands in your HighLevel CRM. There is no one-click connector. Instead you join the two with embed codes, Code Injection, and either Zapier or a small amount of webhook work.
This guide walks through exactly how Australian businesses connect Squarespace to HighLevel in 2026: which Squarespace plan you need, how to embed forms, calendars and the chat widget, how to get native Squarespace form submissions and Commerce orders into GHL, what it all costs, and when it makes more sense to move the site into HighLevel altogether.
Quick Facts
| Native connector | None — you connect via embed code, Zapier or webhooks |
| Code Injection | Core, Plus, Advanced and some legacy plans; not Basic (Squarespace Help Center, October 2026) |
| JavaScript / iframes in Code Blocks | Core, Plus and Advanced only (Squarespace Help Center, October 2026) |
| Squarespace form storage options | Mailing lists, email, Google Drive, Mailchimp, Zapier — no generic webhook URL |
| Code Block size limit | 400 KB (about 300,000 characters) |
| GHL plan needed | Any plan — forms, calendars and chat widget are core features |
How a GoHighLevel Squarespace integration actually works
Squarespace and HighLevel don't talk to each other through an official app. You are building a bridge, and there are really only three bridge types to choose from.
- Embed GHL assets on Squarespace — forms, surveys, calendars and the chat widget run as HighLevel code inside your Squarespace pages, so data goes straight into GHL.
- Forward Squarespace's own forms — keep the native Form Block and push each submission to GHL via Zapier.
- Forward Squarespace Commerce events — send new orders to GHL via Zapier's Squarespace Commerce app or Squarespace's developer webhooks.
The first option is the one we recommend for almost every client. When the form is a HighLevel form, the contact, tags, custom fields, source attribution and Workflow trigger all happen inside GHL with no middleware to break or pay for.
If you have already done this on another builder, the logic is identical to our GoHighLevel Wix integration guide — only the menu names change.
Which Squarespace plan you need to connect Squarespace to HighLevel
This is the step most people skip, and it is the reason "the embed doesn't work" tickets exist. Per Squarespace's Help Center (at the time of writing, October 2026), Code Injection is available on the Core, Plus, Advanced and some legacy billing plans, and the Basic plan does not include it.
Code Blocks are more nuanced. On every plan a Code Block accepts HTML, Markdown, plain text and CSS, but adding JavaScript or an iframe to a Code Block requires Core, Plus or Advanced, according to Squarespace's Code Blocks help article. Every HighLevel embed relies on a script or an iframe, so Basic is effectively a non-starter.
Also note: Squarespace checkout pages don't support custom code, and downgrading to Basic switches existing Code Injection off.
Embedding GHL forms, surveys and calendars on Squarespace
Forms and surveys
Build the form in HighLevel's Form Builder (Sites → Forms), then open the Integrate option and copy the embed code. HighLevel's own help documentation for external websites covers Squarespace specifically.
- In Squarespace, edit the page and add a Code block where the form should sit.
- Paste the GHL embed code, untick "Display source" if it is showing, and save.
- Preview on desktop and mobile — set the form's width to 100% in GHL so it doesn't overflow Squarespace's column.
- Submit a test entry and confirm the contact appears in GHL with the right tags and custom fields.
Calendars
From Calendars → Calendar Settings, copy the calendar's embed code and drop it into a Code Block on a dedicated "Book a call" page. Give the calendar its own page rather than squeezing it into a sidebar column — the booking widget needs width, and a full-width section stops the time slots wrapping awkwardly on mobile.
Adding the GHL chat widget and tracking code to Squarespace
Chat widget
HighLevel's Squarespace chat widget article gives two methods: paste the code from Sites → Chat Widget → Get Code into Code Injection (footer) for a site-wide bubble, or into a block on a single page. For most businesses, the site-wide footer placement is the right call.
Every chat then becomes a GHL conversation you can route to Conversation AI or a team member. Our guide to the GHL chat widget, SMS chat and live chat covers the settings worth changing first.
Tracking code
If you use HighLevel's external tracking script for attribution, paste it into Code Injection → Header so it loads on every page and GHL can record each lead's source.
Put site-wide scripts in Code Injection and page-specific embeds in Code Blocks — mixing the two is the most common cause of duplicate chat bubbles and double-firing pixels.
Squarespace forms to GHL: Zapier or webhooks?
Sometimes a client insists on keeping the native Squarespace Form Block. That is workable, but know the limits.
Per Squarespace's Help Center (October 2026), a Form Block's storage options are Squarespace mailing lists, an email address, Google Drive, Mailchimp and Zapier. There is no option to post a submission to a custom webhook URL natively, so you cannot point a Squarespace form straight at a GHL inbound webhook without a middleman.
The Zapier route
- In the Form Block, open Storage → Zapier → Connect.
- In Zapier, use the Squarespace Forms app's New Form Submission trigger.
- Add a LeadConnector action to create or update the contact, or post to a GHL inbound webhook to start a Workflow.
- Map every field, including consent, and add a tag such as source-squarespace-form.
Zapier's help docs note this needs a Core, Plus, Advanced or eligible legacy plan, with one Zap per form block. Keep email storage on as a backup.
If you prefer to receive the data on a GHL Inbound Webhook trigger, our inbound and outbound webhooks guide explains how to map the payload into custom fields.

Sending Squarespace Commerce orders into GHL
Shops usually want buyers in GHL for post-purchase follow-up, review requests and win-back campaigns. There are two realistic paths.
- Zapier's Squarespace Commerce app — lists a New Order trigger. Check it is available in your Zapier account before you plan around it, then map the buyer into GHL with an order-value custom field and a "customer" tag.
- Squarespace's Webhook Subscriptions API — supports an order.create topic and signs each notification, but it needs an OAuth token rather than an API key. That is developer work, not a settings toggle.
Either way, treat Squarespace as the source of truth for orders and GHL as the source of truth for follow-up. Don't try to run payments in both systems.
Conversion tracking across Squarespace and HighLevel
The tidiest setup is to send form and calendar leads to a thank-you page you control. For an embedded GHL form, set the form's on-submit action to redirect to a Squarespace thank-you page that fires your Google Ads and Meta conversion events.
For paid search, pair that with offline conversion uploads from GHL so you optimise on booked calls, not just form fills. Our Google Ads conversion tracking guide for GoHighLevel covers the GCLID capture and upload steps in full.
GoHighLevel Squarespace integration cost in 2026
All prices below are in US dollars, as published on each vendor's pricing page at the time of writing (October 2026) — prices change, so confirm before you buy. Australian buyers may be billed in AUD or see GST added at checkout, so confirm the final figure on your own invoice.
| Item | Price (USD, Oct 2026) | Needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Squarespace Basic | $25/mo billed monthly | No — no Code Injection or script embeds |
| Squarespace Core | $39/mo billed monthly | Minimum plan for GHL embeds |
| Squarespace Plus | $65/mo billed monthly | Optional — larger shops |
| Squarespace Advanced | $139/mo billed monthly | Optional — advanced commerce |
| HighLevel Starter | $97/mo | Yes (or higher plan) |
| HighLevel Unlimited | $297/mo | Agencies with many clients |
| HighLevel Agency Pro | $497/mo | Agencies reselling as SaaS |
| Zapier Free | $0 — 100 tasks/mo | Only if forwarding native forms |
| Zapier Professional | From $19.99/mo billed annually | If volume or multi-step Zaps |
Sources: Squarespace's pricing page (monthly billing; annual billing is cheaper), HighLevel's pricing page and Zapier's pricing page, all October 2026. HighLevel usage charges such as SMS and phone numbers are billed separately from the subscription.
The practical minimum is Squarespace Core plus HighLevel Starter. If every form on the site is a GHL form, Zapier drops off the bill entirely.
Keep Squarespace or migrate the site into GHL?
Once leads flow into GHL, many owners ask whether they need two website platforms. Here is how we decide with clients.
| Situation | Keep Squarespace | Migrate to GHL |
|---|---|---|
| Established blog with strong Google rankings | Yes — avoid redirect risk | Only with a full redirect plan |
| Active Squarespace Commerce store | Yes | Rarely |
| Site is mostly landing pages for ads | Optional | Yes — funnels are built for this |
| Brand-heavy portfolio design | Yes | Only if you rebuild the design |
| Want to cut a subscription | No | Yes — sites are included in GHL |
| Lots of A/B testing and split traffic | No | Yes |
A common middle ground: keep the Squarespace brand site and build ad landing pages as GHL funnels on a subdomain.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Trying to embed GHL forms or calendars on the Squarespace Basic plan, which blocks JavaScript and iframes in Code Blocks.
- Pasting the chat widget into both Code Injection and a page block, creating two chat bubbles.
- Keeping native Squarespace forms and a Zapier bridge when a GHL form would do the same job with no middleware.
- Assuming Squarespace forms can post to a webhook natively — they can't without Zapier or similar.
- Forgetting the SMS consent checkbox on embedded forms, then messaging contacts who never opted in.
- Migrating a well-ranked Squarespace blog into GHL without 301 redirects and losing organic traffic.

Frequently asked questions
Does GoHighLevel have a native Squarespace integration?
No. There is no official one-click connector between Squarespace and HighLevel. You connect them by embedding GHL forms, calendars and the chat widget in Squarespace, or by forwarding Squarespace data through Zapier or webhooks.
Which Squarespace plan do I need to embed GHL forms?
You need the Core, Plus or Advanced plan, or an eligible legacy plan. Squarespace's Help Center says Code Injection and JavaScript or iframes in Code Blocks are not available on the Basic plan, and GHL embeds depend on them.
Can Squarespace forms send data to a GHL webhook directly?
Not natively. Squarespace Form Block storage options are mailing lists, email, Google Drive, Mailchimp and Zapier, with no custom webhook URL. Use Zapier as the bridge, or replace the form with an embedded GHL form.
How do I add the GHL chat widget to Squarespace?
Copy the code from Sites, Chat Widget, Get Code in HighLevel. Paste it into Squarespace Code Injection in the footer for a site-wide widget, or into a block on a single page. Use only one method to avoid duplicate widgets.
Can I send Squarespace Commerce orders to GoHighLevel?
Yes, with middleware. Zapier's Squarespace Commerce app lists a New Order trigger, and Squarespace's Webhook Subscriptions API supports an order.create topic for developers. Map the buyer into GHL with tags and an order-value custom field.
Do I need Zapier to connect Squarespace to HighLevel?
Only if you keep native Squarespace forms or need Commerce orders in GHL. If every form, survey and calendar on the site is an embedded GHL asset, the data goes straight into HighLevel and Zapier is not needed.
Should I move my Squarespace website into GHL?
Migrate if the site is mainly landing pages, you want to cut a subscription, or you run lots of split tests. Keep Squarespace if you have a ranking blog, an active store or a design-heavy brand site you don't want to rebuild.
